Cookie Policy
Phra Capital · Last updated: 12 May 2025
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how Phra Capital uses them on this website, and what choices you have about them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the website remember certain information about your visit — for example, your language preferences or whether you have already seen a notice. Cookies are not programs and cannot carry viruses or access other files on your device.
Some cookies are placed directly by Phra Capital (first-party cookies). Others are placed by third-party services that we use, such as analytics tools. We have tried to keep our use of cookies minimal and purposeful.
2. Cookies We Use
We use four categories of cookies, described below. Only essential cookies are active by default. All others require your consent, which you can manage in the preferences section on this page.
| Category | Purpose | Duration | Consent Required |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | Basic site functionality — remembering your cookie consent choice, session continuity, and security. | Session / up to 12 months | No — always active |
| Analytics | Helps us understand how visitors use the site — which pages are visited, how long sessions last, and where visitors arrive from. We use this to improve the website experience. | Up to 2 years | Yes |
| Marketing | Allows relevant advertising on other platforms. We make limited use of this category and do not sell visitor data to advertisers. | Up to 90 days | Yes |
| Preferences | Remembers settings you have chosen — such as language or display preferences — so you do not have to re-select them on each visit. | Up to 12 months | Yes |
3. Third-Party Cookies
Some of the services we use may set their own cookies. These currently include:
- Google Analytics — used to understand aggregate website usage. Google's privacy policy governs these cookies. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Google Maps — an embedded map on our contact section uses cookies to display interactive maps. These are set by Google when you interact with the map.
We do not currently use social media advertising cookies or third-party retargeting networks. If this changes, we will update this policy and seek fresh consent where required.
4. Your Cookie Preferences
You can review and update your cookie choices below at any time. Essential cookies cannot be disabled, as the website requires them to function. Your preferences are saved to your browser's local storage.
Essential Cookies
Required for the site to work. Cannot be disabled.
Analytics Cookies
Help us understand how the site is being used, so we can improve it.
Marketing Cookies
Allow relevant advertising on other platforms and networks.
Preference Cookies
Remember your settings and choices between visits.
5. Cookie Duration
Cookies fall into two duration types:
- Session cookies — these are temporary and are deleted from your device when you close your browser. They keep you logged in or maintain a temporary state during your visit.
- Persistent cookies — these remain on your device until they expire or you delete them manually. They allow the website to recognise you on a return visit. Our persistent cookies typically expire within 12 months, except for analytics cookies which may persist for up to 2 years.
